Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Basch spends his day observing the on-goings of his fellow dragons, not involving himself most of the time and simply smiling in his own dragonly way at them. Though when he does he seems to be awkward and unused to contact with other dragons, so he doesn't do so often, even when one of the others provokes or tries to involve him, he instead pours himself into books of both mortal and dragon magic. He is rarely seen using magic beyond levitation or teleportation, but all fear pushing him too far and do their best to sense when is or isn't a good time to interact with him. Instead of sleeping he spends his nights meditating, which gives him both the rest he needs, and at the same time he is training himself with the magic in his mind.
