Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Any writer foolish enough to take to the Verdewood for inspiration soon falls victim to the inevitable. A dull crash, crash, crash, like the toppling of old oaks one after the other, the sound drawing ever nearer until--she is there, a massive Terrae dragon, peering suspiciously down at whatever manuscript is being penned. And then promptly pointing out every typo in disgust before chasing the half-bit author out of her woodlands. Rumor has is that so fiendish was this particular dragon that not even the one who reared her was spared; no sooner had her caretaker set quill to scroll to record her information than the Terrae started up the same scathing critique, making her poor foster mother burst into tears!

While the beast thus seems quite the monster, there is some hope of avoiding her wrath; the very best writers, those who only come along every century or so, have been known to pen stories so captivating that even the Terrae is too busy reading to find time for critiquing.
