Red-Tailed Wyrms are a small but clever breed of dragon. Their innate ability to use air mana allows them to fly, and they are aerial predators with extremely sharp eyesight. They tend to ride on warm air currents, and then swoop out of the sky when they spot prey. Once the wyrm catches its prey, it will constrict its meal before swallowing it whole. They can often be found in human settlements, draped over rooftops or signs to rest between meals.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.
User Description
Araishu once found herself stuck in a bakery, after a wrong turn in the air sent her tumbling through an open window. She spent the next few hours in confusion, trying to constrict pieces of bread into submission and wondering why something so tasty never moved while she hunted it. Eventually the baker discovered her and helped return her to the family. Araishu has since developed a fondness for that particular bakery, and a few gold pieces and shiny knickknacks have since convinced the baker to let her stay during the lazy afternoons. Araishu can be seen draped along the rafters, gnawing on stray pieces of toast and cake. Sometimes the baker will give children a little bit of extra bread so they can throw it up to the ceiling, and see if Araishu will catch it before it falls down.
