Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blank Heart is a lazy dragon. She normally sits in the back of the cave with other dragons and lays around all day. Occasionally, she'll go outside and watch the others hunt for food. When watching the dragons hunt, she's always focused on Lightning Bolt of Doom. She studies the way he hunts. Once when he was talking to hatchlings, she heard him and sat down to hear the rest. She really loved his stories—and him. One night she was sitting outside, watching the stars, when Lightning Bolt came along and sat next to her. Surprisingly, he asked her to be his mate. He wanted to tell her more stories, and even make stories of their own. She gladly accepted, and to this day they are still mates. They love to tell stories to hatchlings together.
