It’s an undead baby dragon, produced by a failed magical spell. It probably would be cute if it weren’t partially decayed.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eierk, as he was once called for short, used to be a happy black dragon that chased insects around all over the place,and the rest of the hatchlings used to adore him. Now, he is nothing more than a spiteful pest who is full of malice. None of his former friends dare approach him anymore, which makes Eierk feel even angrier. Forced to live a lonely existance, Eierk is constantly plotting his revenge on the one who put him in this state of undeadness.
