Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Protection of the Sun is a legendary figure, at least, he is believed to be by mere non-draconic mortals. He is a well known figure within dragon-interacting people. Some believe that he protects the sun like it is a mate, since he does not yet have one. Others believe that he is just honorable and strong, and does it out of courtesy to all living things. Yet, very few believe that it is just a legend and protects very little, if anything. The feud has been going on since he grew up, the first to hatch from an egg to its master before growing up to them, and is still causing chaos all over the draconic-involved realm. He is indeed a very honorable and strong dragon but it doesn't mean the second group is right, his master vows to never let the his truth come out.
