Restricted to marine coastlines and islands, Teris Wyverns wander quietly on foot most of the time, hunting for prey. When Terises fly, they do so for great distances, crossing many miles to reach the distant islands where they were hatched and where they will lay their own eggs. Terises are not particularly aggressive, but because of their size, they appreciate their own space and become agitated when other Terises or large dragons come too close. They live in apparent harmony with the human settlements within their territories, however, and old folklore from isolated coastal communities suggests that at one time they would carry riders.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
