Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moon of Dawn was born on a day when the moon still shone over the land as the sun rose over the land. Named for this odd occurrence, she gets tired of having to explain her name to other Dragons, because it has nothing to do with her. She spends her time gathering and while no one is looking, swimming. She hates swimming around others because her wings and tail drag, and when she was a hatchling she was laughed at for it. After she was laughed at as a hatchling she limited her swimming to a hidden spring that she thought she was the only one who knew about it.
