Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Known for his crafty tongue, Wine has only two selfish agendas: self-preservation and gaining a profit. Used to the finer things in life, he never lifts a finger, always convincing others into doing his dirty work for him.

True, he's in the fight against Creorluna, as the others are, but it's for his own purposes once more. He doesn't want Creorluna taking over because Wine knows the truth: what Izdati is really after.

He tells his subjects that he believes Creorluna to be superior to all. They blindly follow him like the messiah. Despite his elegant talk and brilliant mind, Izdatis real plan is much more terrible. This isn't a war; it's a genocide. He wants dragons of all species dead.

His behavior toward his own clan proves it; for he disposes of even his most trusted generals like tissue paper when they fail him.

This all means one thing to Wine: who would do his dirty work. So he works with the clans for the time being, to end Izdati's cruel rein of terror.
