Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Auleprius's favorite way to spend his time is by hunting, but he doesn't always kill his prey; simply the thrill of knowing that he was skilled enough to catch them is enough to satisfy him. He is constantly honing his speed, strength, and stealth abilities; while it is obviously easiest for him to hunt during the fall when his autumn appearance blends in with the colorful foliage, he loves the challenge of hunting during other seasons as well. The only time that he does hunt to kill is when he is hunting to feed himself, his family, or on behalf of other dragons who are too sickly or old to hunt and turn to him for help. Auleprius is also a devoted father to the hatchlings that he has with his mate, Aithia. Unlike some other dragon pairs, he and Aithia have more of a partnership than a romance; but they are both very happy with their relationship, as it allows Aithia to dedicate all her time to being a mother and Auleprius to spend his days hunting and playing with his hatchlings.
