Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gigoth is a dragon that has gone from egg to Adult with very few problems and has enjoyed relative peace amongst the other young dragons. Gigoth is a feisty dragon, who loves to goad other dragons into play in the out doors. Gigoth spends all her waking time enjoying the environment and engaging her fellow dragons in mock battles. She loves being out in the open, but loves flying high in the sky the most. Gigoth has very few dragon friends, because she has trouble relating to other dragons that are not willing to fight for what they want and she finds that most young dragons are to use to living among the humans. Gigoth has the power to hypnotize large groups of humans into doing her bidding, but finds that in her present environment she does not need to use this power that often. This power makes it where Gigoth can be visible to any and everyone she chooses. This enables the dragon family to live among humans without having the usual problems.
