Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon very nearly didn't make it, but thanks to the kindness of the stars she pulled through; this has led many to believe she's blessed.

The tale is as thus:

She was born to a clan of exceptionally talented daydream dragons, who were good not only at maneuvering clouds but also at warding off storms. Thus, none of the peaceful creatures suspected any threat when a large tempest rolled in. However, their abilities proved useless against this one--suggesting that it was conjured by dark magic, no natural force of nature--and this dragon's egg was rolled out of the nest. She hatched when the storm had passed, alone and far from home--but then she turned her newborn eyes to the sky, and fixing her gaze on the brightest star, blindly scampered along after it. Days passed before she finally stumbled into her tribe again, led there by starlight, and the celebrations that followed were as reverential as they were gleeful.
