Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Dalikamata is a dragon who never grew up. He still retains a childlike eagerness and curiosity, often landing him in trouble. His clutch-mate and friend, Tagibanwa, is also his secret crush. He somehow manages to act as though they're just friends, but sometimes he just ends up flustered and red-faced.

Dalikamata is named for the Polynesian many-eyed god who was invoked to treat eye ailments.
