And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

YuleDreams is a YuleBuck Dragon hatchling with a kind heart. When he is around, every dragon feels a bit happier than they did. The other hatchlings of his cave love to play with him, always including them in their dragon games. Young caribou don't have the same opinion, and won't include him in their reindeer games. CrownOfHolly, his father, has a much better relationship with caribou. YuleDreams loves and idealizes him, but they don't really understand one another. His mother, AmethystDayDream, and sister, JollyDayDream, call YuleDreams their 'little dear' or 'little deer' sometimes.
