Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This poor little dragon was weak and couldn't grow up to be an adult just like her daddy and mommy. She wishes with all of her heart to be a grown-up, but she knows that when she was a little egg, she got very sick, and her heart wasn't able to produce the correct blood when it hatched. At night it plays with the other hatchlings, but they make her sad. She knows that when they are done growing, she'll be left alone, to play by herself.
