When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The personalities of the Water Dragons in the MagiwarpOceanstride family vary greatly, and Pacific is no exception. He takes on a more logical, objective personality, viewing the world through a lens of definitive ideals and rigidness. He doesn't have much understanding of his emotions, similar to his father, Loch, but what sets him apart is his pure determination on logic. Pacific is an extremely motivated dragon. Once he has a serious goal in mind, he will do everything possible (even harm others if necessary) to achieve it. This coincides with his older brother, Rio's, obsession with pleasing Loch, so the two have developed a fierce rivalry with one another. The two of them frequently compete for dominance over one another, much to the dismay of the rest of the family, specifically the shy and timid Rain, who has grown to fear both of them incidentally. They can often be found challenging one another and getting into vicious brawls, constricting and knocking each other around.
