When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ezeck is a very serious dragon. He is one of the five leaders. Before making any decision he goes through the potential consequences of each action. This can cause strife between him and other dragons. He has a strong rivalry with Luny. Whenever they are seen together they are quarreling, which is an amusing sight for onlookers. Due to his serious personality, few come to him for help or advice unless they really need it. However, those he takes into training have strong potential. Not all of his apprentices are dragons of the water. The lake he lives in is quite large, and in the middle of it he had a large floating platform built for his apprentices to stand or sit on if they cannot swim. Despite not being able to fly, he is one of the best flying instructors.

He is particularly fond of alligator.
