Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There are dragon families that are rich and have caves full of gold: Eliezer's family wasn't one of those.

When Eliezer's crystals showed up, his parents understood that he was not like them, and that he had a different destiny. So they allowed him to leave their Cave to meet his destiny, and in addition to their blessings they gave him all their belongings: a bag full of pebbles.

Eliezer went on his road trip and thanks to his crystals he met a beautiful, rich and noble mate, named Valma. He dreamed of becoming rich and noble; but when Valma escaped from her old cave to stay with him, he discovered that she had brought no gold with her. And in that moment he finally realized what a big treasure really was, that bag of pebbles that his parents gave to him.
