Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Autumn is, for many, a time of celebration. Rich harvests, golden leaves, and piles of candy behind every door. But there's another air to autumn, whispers of witchcraft in the darkness, a scent of decay in the air as black things begin to move and life and sun wither away. This male is said by many to embody that crueler side of the season. Trading rare herbs and unnerving smiles from the depths of his cave, he's just as well known for the swathes of spiders he keeps there; massive webs span from cave end to cave end, decorated with arachnids of all sizes and colors. Usually these do little more than disturb customers, but should a particularly poisonous one choose to drop down and bite a client dead, then well... there's a nice dinner for him, and no one else needs to know about it.
