Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Terra Gelada (Frozen Earth) is a sweet pebble female dragon, but she is not very bright. She spends all her time gathering stones and is a bit odd, probably because of a childhood accident where some pebbles hit her head and left her with some strange sequels. Besides spacing out and being less intelligent, sometimes she rolls into a ball and throws herself into the ground, screaming "Earth avalanche!". This causes earth and mud slidings, which are serious enough now. In order to avoid the frequent catastrophes that would happen were she a full-grown adult, she was frozen.
