Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Skeeyer lives on the coast and is considered a bit of a pest by the dragons who like to skim over the water. He flies up behind them, grabs onto their tails and drags his feet on the top of the water to make a big spray of water behind them. He will hang on for as long as the other dragon keeps flying near the surface of the water. Most dragons by now have learned to either fly up so that Skeeyer can no longer touch the water, to dive so that Skeeyer gets pulled under, or to stop and let Skeeyer simply sink. Skeeyer considers those moves all part of his game.

When he is not yanking on other dragons' tails, Skeeyer likes to wrap seaweed on his tail and head. He thinks it makes him look alluring to females.
