Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kudzu Dracae grew up to be a bitter dragon, perhaps because he was abandoned as an egg. Though he was discovered and brought to a new home, he remained spiteful until a stone dragon named Lady Rosetta Stone caught his attention. Rosetta helped him overcome his bitterness, and he has since realized that the other dragons in his clan are the best family he could wish for. He takes pride in watching his children grow up to raise children of their own. Touched by the love of those around him, Kudzu has also begun searching for other unwanted vines in hopes to provide them a loving home in Dracae Gardens, a large valley just outside the cave where the rest of his clan lives. He can be found at the top of the valley, overlooking the other members of the garden to be sure they are safe and well cared for. Rosetta stands permanently by his side, and a few of his potentially deadly tendrils wrap affectionately around her in a constant, loving embrace.
