Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Frozesque's joints ache and groan as he walks beneath the stars. He is far too heavy to fly, and his wings would be too stiff to work properly even if he did get off the ground. Swimming is no good, either; he sinks like a rock. So he walks, and even that is difficult. He cannot bear to stand around and watch life pass him by. His joints seem a little freer at night, and the pace of life is not so rushed, so this is the time when he chooses to be active. During the day, he rests and watches the other dragons go about their business so easily and quickly, taking it for granted. Sometimes Frozesque has conversations with them, but more often they are in a hurry to go somewhere, do something, leaving him behind. He is restless, and afraid that if he stayed still for too long, he may become nothing more than a dragon-shaped statue. So, though his joints may crack into pieces, at night he walks.
