White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Yikani is the vice-healer of her family group. She is shy and quiet, but does not hesitate to intervene when she sees a fight going on or when her adoptive sister, Xibis, is in another of her tempers. Yikani spends most of her time with Pure Waters, the main healer, assisting her with finding herbs and making tonics, all the while keeping an eye on Xibis.

Although life as a healer does not leave much time for oneself, Yikani makes the most of it, often flying to the nearby lakes to wash off her wing feathers. She calls them her "Little Moments of Vanity"—after all, every dragon should have an indulgence.
