Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A doting father, Ziv the Argentine's life revolves around his children, with his daughter Minato the Passive taking front and center stage. He always gets upset when the eggs he and mate Nephele the Astute lay are given away, so he was thrilled when Alexandros the Unmoving kept Minato's egg. However, even though Minato is now a full grown dragon who is not only more than capable of caring for herself, but is also the Ruda Clan's next leader, Ziv can't suppress his overprotective nature, trying to protect and shield his daughter from everything that moves. While everyone knows he has nothing but good intentions at heart, Ziv's constant overreactions and gushing about his children get on everybody's nerves.
