Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Algor awoke. Lifted his head, golden light shone from his eyes. The rest of the herd slept. He alone felt the touch of ... he knew not what. Dragons don't grieve. He rose and listened to the night's rhythm, powerful wings spread wide to embrace the moon as he flew up into the black skies. Ignoring the scurrying animal below, it was an easy target but he was no hunter, he was a guardian.
Under the drifting clouds, his herd slept. Briefly glanced at the warm pulsating form of the eggs and hatchlings below, these were the little ones under his protection. Knowing his own clan was safe, the guardian opted to seek out his own lost hatchlings. He would watch over and protect them just as he does for the young ones of his herd. The light of the moon helped to enhance his vision, enabled him to see his lost ones from great distances. He soared and watched, ever the wakeful and vigilant guardian to the sleeping world below.
None shall die under his watch.
