Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hell's Bluebell is the Alpha Female of the Hellfire Wyvern dragons in her cave.

She is fierce and demanding, and returns nonsense with fire. She will not tolerate mischief-makers. In times of hardship, she is one of the first dragons to turn to for leadership in battle. Despite her being so harsh when it comes to frivolity, she believes strongly in giving the hatchlings plenty of opportunity to play. Thus new "games" for the hatchlings are invented, such as "kill and collect bugs" or "push each other out of the circle". Most breeds of dragons (to her disappointment) don't stand for such rough games for their hatchlings.

Bluebell is quite the wild animal, as savagely free and unbound as any Hellfire out there. Her life is composed of hunting, eating, mating, and fighting. That is both her job and her pass-time.

She found her perfect mate, Searing Spiral. And they have many adorably vicious baby Hellfires. And any female who dares look at him is doomed.
