Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Vincent started out as a normal egg, so shiny and full of promise. But sadly fate has a twisted since of humor and upon him came the curse of vampirism. His parents, disgusted by the turn out of their darling egg, kicked him aside before the other dragons could see the disgrace of their would be son. As things began to look up for him, he was found by not a dragon, but a human. She eagerly took in the abandoned egg and nursed it to hatch. He was a normal hatchie, or so he thought. He tried to fit in, but just couldn't. He was rejected by everyone but the cave's mistress, probably the only reason he was still in the clan. She has a special bond with him that other dragons consider favoratism, but that's not so. He lives in the dark and keeps to himself with only a small hatchie who he noticed suffering the same childhood he had. He never understood why the hatchie was rejected, but he cares for the child nevertheless.
