Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Named after a famous evil witch, this dragon couldn't be more opposite. Despite being classified as a being of darkness and nightmares she kept the name as it kept her safe from the otherwise curious villagers that lived a hilltop away from her cave. She pays them no mind and calmly lives her life in the forest, only eating fish from the nearby river and the odd boar here and there. When she does come in contact with humans she shows off a little of her magic, but only to frighten them away. Much to the villager's confusion, the children have begun painting pictures of her and creating their own fan club. This is caused by Maleficent secretly playing with the children in their dreams. She doesn't mean them harm and it brings her joy her when she feels lonely. Perhaps one day these same children will be her friends in the real world as well.
