Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He sleeps on his bed of coral, a tiny chain of bubbles slowly flowing upward from his snoring maw. When he wakes, it's usually with a thrash of splashing as some current borne bit of chaff tickles his sensitive snout. And then he laughs at himself, a little chagrined by his own actions as he swims in a lazy circle. A few times he's spotted the orange one, high above and he nods knowingly. It's not uncommon for the orange ones to find mates from the ranks of the water dwellers. He spends a lazy day hunting amid the corals, pausing to chat with other dragons as they circle above his home. Sometimes he's a little lonely, after all he can't venture out into the far waters where the other aquatic member of the communal cave lives. But he's patient, he knows someday others will come.
