Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When this dragon was still a hatchling, he was told by the dragons that raised him that he would grow up to be 'The Avatar', a powerful dragon who could communicate with the spirits and whose job was to maintain peace and harmony. Unwilling to take on such a responsibility, he fled the temple where he lived, along with his best friend, a Pillow named Appaflight. As the two were flying over the ocean, a freak storm knocked them out of the sky and nearly drowned them, but they were saved when he entered a strange state of being which froze them in stasis in an iceberg. They remained frozen, never aging, never waking, for a hundred years until a pair of Bluna siblings found the iceberg while hunting. After being freed, he decided to go back and face his destiny, and the siblings (and later, a Green and a Hellfire) accompanied him on his quest. Even though his job is serious, he still has a sense of humor and loves playing and joking around.
