Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Iridescent Art is a dragon with a problem, and he doesn't know what to do about it. Often called Iri, he is a solitary dragon by nature and has few friends, though he is close to his immediate family. There is a Heartstealing dragon named Briny Embrace, or Brine for short. One year, during the festival of love when the romance-spirit dragons have their breeding season, the Breedery's Heartstealing dragons, led by his own mother, did their best to set him up with Brine. Among the gifts was dragonwine, which Iri and Brine ended up drinking together. They made eggs. However, when Brine came to Iri later, expecting to be his mate now, he felt embarrassed by what he had done while drinking and rejected her. Sometimes he feels bad about rejecting her and wishes he could take it back. Other times, he wishes she'd just leave him alone altogether. Due to indecision, each year when the romance spirits fly again, Iri visits Brine for a while. But in the end, he always flees to his solitary life.
