Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Serend Silverknight constantly baffles her parents.  Being quiet, peace-loving dragons themselves, they can't quite understand why she wants to charge out to right wrongs and conquer evil, though they do support her desire to do so.  A steady diet of fairy tales as a young hatchling filled Serend's mind with dreams of becoming a sort of dragon knight, freeing the oppressed and performing all sorts of heroic deeds, and she set out once she was grown to make her dream a reality.  Despite being at first entirely too idealistic and hopelessly naive, she persevered, and is starting to be talked of as an eventual equal to Faylarna or even Kalazor.  Serend will never be one to settle down and raise hatchlings, though she doesn't disparage those who want to do so, and her true legacy will be those dragons inspired by her heroic deeds.
