Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Sillmanterum ShockDancer (after the gemstone: Sillimanite) was the thirteenth dragon to become part of the clan cave. He is boisterous and rather flamboyant, and revels in the attention that his awe-inspiring electric bolts tend to afford him. As a hatchling, Sillmanterum struggled somewhat with his gifts, and although it was never intentional, he caused more than one or two singe marks on the cave walls. His body crackles with the power of the electricity that constantly dances around him, and the air sizzles as he walks by. Sillmanterum is a noble and honorable progeny, and The Clan Mother enjoys his company, marveling at the unfathomable reality that defines his existence. Several members of the clan have approached Sillmanterum as a possible mate, yet he has refused all attempts. In confidence, he admits his reluctance to closeness with any except his own kind, for fear that his emotions may get the better of him, causing injury to one he does not intend to harm.
