Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Clumsily Frozen and Elegant Ice have always had a fun time playing together, possibly due to the presence of ice dragons in Clumsily Frozen's lineage. This little albino dragon was frozen because Elegant Ice has a hard time controlling her magic. She doesn't mind it though- she gets to be young forever! Her name was originally Pale Scales, but she was fine with her new name. To never worry about mates, the social hierarchy, hunting, or any of that boring adult stuff, that seems awesome! She's very carefree, loving to play with any dragon. Since she's a hatchling, she is stuck in the nursery from now on. In her eyes, though, that just means she can play forever!
