Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
An ethereal sight in the air, Stara Janja is a rather insufferable creature. He considers his sun-flecked species to be more noble than the rest of dragonkind, and believes himself to be a prime example of his species. However, he is viewed as archaic and arrogant by many other Sunsong Amphipteres, who think that his behavior more closely resembles that of the narcissistic Lumina dragons than that of any Sunsong Amphiptere. Nonetheless, Stara Janja declares himself to be the pinnacle of his species whenever anyone is in earshot. Weary listeners frequently abandon Stara Janja as he flies in an almost trance-like state, enchanted by his own shimmering scales and monotonous voice.
Stara Janja bears a surprisingly intense resentment towards humans, as one of their kind snatched him from the heart of the jungle when he was but an egg. However, this Sunsong Amphiptere finds violence (and serious action) distasteful. Stara Janja is resigned to merely glaring at humans from the skies.
