Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s already quite large compared to other hatchlings, and appears to like roughhousing.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Jaeson believes deep in her heart that she will grow up into a powerful adult male Brute Dragon, and is willing to fight anyone who says she can't. Every day, Jaeson measures the growth of her horns, hoping they will become long and curved. She has a small obsession with collecting shiny objects and small gems in attempts to woo her fellow clutch mate Arragath.
