Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Most storm dragons are known for either vicious personalities, matching the equally malicious tempests they conjure, or for being withdrawn and silent; but Cainis is neither. Named after his habit of gnawing happily away on sugar cane while he works, Cainis is a gardener, showering both flowers and fields so long as he's paid. But he's a good soul, and will frequently slip in free help to those who need it most--farmers whose crop is suffering from drought, or a florist who is withering away under similar conditions. The only thing that can bring down the cheery dragon's mood is when others--humans and dragons alike--assume he is brooding and temperamental due to his breed, but a few light rain showers and the resulting rainbows always cheer him up again.
