Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It's no secret that black dragons enjoy a good fight. Porgasis' definition of a 'good fight', however, may slightly differ from the norm. She isn't content with a little toying around and showing of her superiority, no, what she wants is brutality, savagery and bloodshed. And she won't be satisfied if she hasn't lost her own share of blood. She wouldn't harm any dragon of her own clan, though. Instead, she will leave the cave and look for worthy opponents (thus not using her abilities to protect the rest of the family, much to Lieman's dismay). Days or even weeks later, she will come back, most of the time severely injured, showing off her new battle scars, but utterly happy. As soon as possible, disregarding pain and fatigue, she will throw herself into the next battle. No one really understands what it is she seeks. Fact is, she probably will die young, and in battle, and perhaps that's exactly what she wants.
