And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Yakker, as can be deduced from her name, loves to talk. About everything and anything. Constantly. She's even been heard talking in her sleep about butterflies and how she really, really, REALLY hates the color black. This has put her at odds with some of the other hatchlings in the cave, most notably Kasai Carbo. The adult dragons and her caretaker tend to ignore her, for the most part. Having several talkative and noisy dragons in the cave tends to desensitize beings after a while.
