Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It loves to bask and play in the sunshine.

It’s gotten slightly bigger and its colors have changed! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Chisana Hoseki is a pretty little hatchling that loves to bask in the sun all day. Already she has caught the attention of several male hatchlings that tend to have little skirmishes over her affection. As of yet, she has not specifically chosen any of them; she has no need to until a bit later in life after all. She will surely grow into the female that all of the males battle over in later years, but for now, she just enjoys watching the boys have their fun.

Her name means Little Gem.
