Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

In the days of old a Weyr and all its inhabitants would bow to a single dragon, a queen of sorts. The Digital Point Weyr (housing only the Drakes of the caretaker Digitalis)is now bringing back that tradition. Xhelarth is the oldest Drake to be taken in. At first, she was just another dragon, but as the population of Drakes grew, a Weyr was born.

Xhelarth commands respect from all those within Digital Point, not only because of her age, but because of her tenacity and strength. It is a well known fact that Drakes are not the smartest dragons in the world, but what they lack in intelligence, they make up for with a great pack mentality and their rambunctious natures, much like domesticated canids. As such Xhelarth displays an unyielding will and unwavering dedication with just a slightly above average intelligence, that makes her the best choice for a leader of the Weyr.
