Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Where most blacks seek out glory in warfare, this dragon seeks out fame in the kitchens! Possessed with an exquisite set of taste and the culinary skills to match, his ability to brew up mouthwatering meals and make shockingly delicious melon-and-caramel smoothies has made him a favorite of patrons throughout the kingdom. While much of his skill comes from, well, skill, he also has a well kept secret about his cooking process: he uses oil from his own skin, a trait inherited from his father, in place of other oils when he cooks, adding a whole new level of tangy draconic flavor! While no one knows of this (which is probably for the best--tasty or not, it's kind of unappetizing), everyone DOES know of his famous parentage, often leading him to pout when he's more celebrated for that than his food.
