Cassare Dragons are known for their magic-deadening abilities. Though not a conscious ability, a large field surrounds the dragon through which magic is passively nullified. This field is strongest near the dragon itself, and falls off with distance. The absence of magic often makes other creatures avoid them, though some will have the opposite reaction and seek refuge instead. It has also caused them to be hunted, as though the field is severely weakened once dead, their bones and scales retain some of the effect. Possessing such an item is considered a necessity by those who expect to face hostile magic.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Peach is kind of like the anti-Cassare Dragon, not in her abilities (her magic-cancelling field is just as strong as any Cassare Dragon's), but rather in her personality. Peach has a deep love and fascination with magic of all varieties, and it depresses her that her very existence nullifies it all. She often try to watch magical dragons from afar, witnessing their abilities and power with utmost awe. Frankly, she wishes she could perform it herself, but she has no way of learning, if it were possible. Though rather tepid and quiet, Peach is a genuinely kind-hearted and noble soul. She seeks to make others like her, despite her breed's bad reputation. She tries her very hardest to make herself appear friendly and nonthreatening, and it works about half the time, which is at least something for her. In truth, Peach suffers from anxiety and depression. She believes herself to be something evil and unworthy of affection, though she tries her hardest to convince herself, too, she isn't.
