Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

One day, when Riptide was out hunting fish, he found an egg bobbing up and down in the ocean currents. It must've drifted away from a sea dragon's nest, and somehow found its way to one of Mirrelm's coves. Needless to say, Riptide brought it to his mate Lula, who had recently raised Lorin, a shy Magi Dragon (who often still hung around Riptide and Lula's cave). They took turns watching over it, even though other dragons gave them strange looks for raising an egg that was not kin of theirs by themselves versus placing it in the egg cave.

Soon enough, the Waterhorse egg was joined by another (one of Lula and Riptide's own). Eventually, both eggs hatched, and Riptide and Lula named them Xuba and Certulean. The couple brought the hatchlings up as brothers, and raised them without the help of the other islanders.

Xuba is a friendly, happy-go-lucky dragon who enjoys fishing with his father and brother, or helping is mother and Lorin bottle up elixirs and potions in the Ingenuus cave.
