Skysilk Dragons spend their days drifting through the heavens, their voluminous manes billowing like clouds. Imbued with air mana, their fluffy fur is incredibly lightweight—so much so that it defies gravity, taking on a mind of its own as it puffs upward. This property makes them quite popular among avian species—birds flock together for the opportunity to play among a Skysilk’s fleecy crown. Docile and patient, Skysilks are quite tolerant of this treatment, with hatchlings in particular developing tight-knit friendships with their feathered visitors. Interestingly, their lustrous scales always retain their dull gleam, despite the frequent presence of tiny critters.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Gensanchi loves when songbirds perch in his mane, especially the tiny roundish-looking chickadees and robins he finds especially adorable. Sometimes he will purposely "ferry" these birds from place to place, making sure his flight paths correspond with nesting sites and areas that are well-stocked with food for his chirping friends. Gen has to make sure the more territorial birds don't cause trouble for the others, but on any given day there's usually at least a few feathery puffballs hanging out in his mane. It's become such a recurring habit that his younger siblings have come to associate the sound of birdsong with their brother hovering overhead, listening to all his bird friends, probably dropping birdseed and fruit rinds everywhere.
