Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has shiny fish-like scales and loves water.

And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ae Omega Aurora is her parents' pride and joy. She possesses a great, long lineage, with many well-known dragons, the most prominent of which are the Dorkfaces and the Thuweds, only eleven generations away. That, and her rare breed, makes her something of a wonder among Mythies' dragons. She is commonly known as Aurora, or, jokingly, by her initials, A.O.A.. Her father is a Silver Shimmerscale, Cold Shimmer of Shining Seas, who mated with Sunbask 10th Generation Dorkwed.
