Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Glorious Midnight Wind loves to talk. Any time, any place, any topic and off he goes. He's not a know-it-all, in fact half of his jibber-jabber is actually questions. Unfortunately, since it seems he can't stop talking he never gives anyone time to answer his questions. Most of the family just smile and nod their heads, while the rest get a blank look about them and try not to fall asleep. The family healer, Snowkissed Wings, thinks that he's afraid of silence and seeks to fill it with sound. Only once was Midnight Wind told to be quiet. The absolute fear that filled his eyes and shook his body until someone told him it was OK to speak made everyone swear to never do that to him again. So now everyone just bites their tongues and lets Midnight Wind ramble on, allowing him to fill the silence and keep the darkness in his soul at bay.
