Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blessed Betrayal takes after her sire in almost every way.  Hers is a lineage of betrayal: her mother is also her half sister, and her father, Aherin Shadowless, is both her father and her grandfather.  Blessed is the product of much suffering, but she would say that she is stronger for it.  After her mother Ianthe abandoned her to the care of her sire, Blessed learned quickly the ways of survival and the way of life of the Shadowless line.  She is a chilly personality, seemingly unafraid and unashamed.  She is the only dragon in the clan who can keep pace with her father, and though reality should demand otherwise, she admires—and as much as can be said, loves—Aherin unconditionally.  Blessed Betrayal is truly a descendant of the Shadowless line.
