Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lapislazua CycleBreak (after the gemstone: Lapis Lazuli) is the 92nd dragon to join the clan cave. Each night when the sun retreats from the sky, she breaks free from her silent prison to join her clan mates among the heavens. Unlike others of her kind, however, she seems terribly embittered by this daily routine, and searches for a way to break the cycle. She spends much of her time working with the clan Magi in the hopes of one day discovering the means to end her morning transformation, and she holds an almost single minded devotion to the task. The clan elders and The Clan Mother alike have tried to reason with her, explaining that the natural order of things can rarely be overcome, yet she does not appear swayed by their gentle protestations. Above all, she refuses to believe that her kind was intended and designed to miss half of each glorious day, believing instead some curse or foul deed has caused her misfortune, and that if it was done, it can then, be undone!
